Torres del Paine undoubtedly one of the trekking Mekkas of the planet. The Torres massif features almost surreal looking mountains, beautiful glacier lakes, Patagonian forests and the immense Gray glacier. Trekkers have two options - either to circle the mountain range or do a sub-portion of it, the so-called "W" (because of its shape). The latter covers most of the "hot-spots" of the area whereas the complete circle adds some adventure and a bit of suffering (due to muddy conditions).
The area is well developed with lots of bus connections from Puerto Natales. There some basic to luxurious huts on the W but most prefer to do it by tent. The weather conditions are freaky so take some warm, rain-proof clothing even if the conditions look fine on the starting day.
